How to apply for a kra pin step by step(student/individual)
STEP 1: Visit KRA iTax portal
STEP 2: Select “New PIN Registration“
STEP 3: Select “Individual” and “Online Form” as your mode of registration then click next.
STEP 4: Under basic information, fill accurate details and click next to proceed.
STEP 5: Under taxpayer obligation select Income Tax Resident then indicate the registration date which is the date you make the registration.
STEP 6: Under source of income you can select the NO option if you don’t have any source of income.
STEP 7: Being an individual/student you will not be expected to fill out the Agent details so leave it blank.
STEP 8: Once you have filled all the necessary details, enter result of the arithmetic sum provided and submit.
If the registration is successful, you will be provided with a link to download the new kra pin certificate.
